Does your insurance Co. pay for damages caused by freezing? Such as engine damage, cracked block, head etc.

my insurance does not pay for damage caused by weather. doubt most would. we could all just let our engines freeze and get new ones each year!

Re: Insurance coverage for freeze damage?

Actually, my insurance company said they do..

I was concerned about my block cracking when it got to 6 degrees in AK where I keep it in the Ouacita Mountains.

So, The mechanic called me and said my block was fine.. I was happy..
So Now I will renew my insurance policy and perhaps get the freeze binder on it..

They said it was only 40.00 more a year...

Not too shabby at all..

I'll give you the info:
http://www.boatus.com/

Thats all you need...Just ask them for the min coverage for the State it's registered in.. and whatever Riders/binders you want included..
