I have a trim tilt switch on my throttle handle but not on the motor itself. I have the switch to install on the cowling pan but dont know how to install. Is this a relatively simple procedure or should this be done by a mechanic only? The wires have connectors on the ends and look like they just need to be plugged in. Any help is appreicated

You can install the switch on the boat.---------Just need to put it somewhere that you can reach when standing beside the motor.

Thanks for the response but forgive me as i was not exactly clear. There is a place for the switch to be installed on the motor....it just has a cover plate over the access point on the side where the switch is supposed to go. The motor was bought without the trim tilt switch installed on the actual motor but just on the throttle. But for convenience sake i want to also install this switch on the motor where it is supposed to go. The wiring is the issue...where do they plug in?

You can see the trim tilt switch on this motor...but on mine there is just a cover plate...no switch....i have to trim and tilt from the throttle handle.

I have the switch and wires just dont know exactly where they plug in/connect.

Take the cover off and look around. It could be wired for the switch already.
If you find the a connector with the same number and colour wires, that would probably be it.
