Installing System Check harness questions

Hi Guys, I'm rigging a '96 Evinrude 200 with the system check harness which is new to me. It has the system check tach with the 4 lights. I bought a new warning buzzer as it didn't come with one and have figured out the rest of the connections with the exception of the Oil level gauge and the Voltmeter. The remote tank has a sending unit and one connector which I assume plugs in the engine somewhere. Seeing as there's no wires run thru the harness for the oil level gauge, I'm assuming that I'll have to run two wires from it to the helm and wire it just like a fuel tank unit? Also I will wire the Voltmeter from the fuse block under the dash as it's not an Ammeter which would need a signal from the engine? Thanks in advance for your help.

Connector goes on motor.
Flat level wires run to gauge at helm
My volt meter is attached to the “power” lug on the battery switch.

Meter be wired pretty much anywhere, but wanted a direct connection to keep the reading as direct as possible
