Installing rule livewell pump

Guys installing a new livewell pump rule model 401c. I am drilling a 1 inch hole per the directions and my question is this.

Should i use any water sealants or epoxy around the hole after I place the pump in the hole?

Just an fyi, there is a gasket for the inside of the hull and a nut that screws on the outside of the boat. I will also be adding a rule strainer to the pipe.
