Installing a tilt trim on 82 Johnson

I was wondering if anyone has installed a tilt trim on a 1982 Johnson 60 HP motor that came off a different year? I can't find the original style unit so am trying to figure out if one from a different year would fit. The one that came with my motor was missing when I bought the boat.... I know that I can get a CNC version but was trying not to spend that kind of money...

Look at your T/T components here on iboats in the parts section, if you click on the part number it will take you to a page that shows other years that use the same components.

Unless you have real good fab skills and a machine shop available, it will be real hard to fit components from other models or different style years to your motor.
