Greetings, all -
I have a 1986 Four Winns Freedom 160 with Merc 3.0 and Alpha One. This outdrive has both trim limit and tilt/trim sender, but didn't come with a tilt/trim gauge on the panel. I'd like to install one. It appears to be just the two wires from the sender, and maybe a power tap. Can anyone verify that it's this simple?

Thanks in advance!

Yes it is that simple. Just make sure you get the wire dirgram and the right gauge for you drive. I just put one on my boat and took me about 30 min because i had to drill hole

Thanks very much for your response.
Another question for the group, if I may - I've found a Mercury trim gauge on Ebay that was used on a Merc 150 outboard. Would everything still be the same as far as the wiring requirements?

Thanks in advance - Rich
