Installing 4500 Gen II controller on Proline 20 Sport CC

I just bought a new Mercury 4500 Shift controller with new cables. Now I am confuse as where to hook the Shift cable on the controller in the center console of the boat. Direction state Port or Starboard option, but do not have anything about center console. Can anyone with experience assist me with the connection in laim terms (connect A4 Shift and connect B3 throttle)?
Engine is a 2003 Mercury XL 150.

I really don't think it matters if it's a center console or a side console. The only thing that matters is if its mounted on the port or starboard side of the console box. If i'm correct, it's designed to be fitted on a side console boat. It's being applied to a center console, that means it will reversed. Then all you do is reverse the starboard and port numbers on the diagram. If it's the starboard side (left) then you would hook it to 3 and 2, if the port side (right) then it would be 4 and 2.
