I put a water pump kit and few other o-rings in my 1981 evinrud 90hp replaced the shift rod o ring,cause it was leaking water in lu.Any way every thing works great but when i pulled it out of the water i noticed one spot at the front leaking water between the lower uint and the mid section,since there is no gasket between them ,how does it seal or does this realy matter?
