You know something.Not to sound like a wise guy-BUT-I HAVE A HB200DX,AND THE BEST THING TO DO IS THROW THE THING ABOUT A 100 YARDS FROM THE BOAT!!

Hi mlcatlopez <br />Nothing wrong with your fishfinder, other than it may fog up once in a while. Hummingbirds are know for that. Look below at the link for more info on mounting instructions. Assuming you are using a Transom mounted transducer, you would want to mount it even with the bottom(Back Side)of the stern and preferably on the starboard side of the hull, no closer than 12" to the prop. Keep it level and don't follow the "Curve" of the hull. You want it shooting straight down for proper operation. Most of the trouble with signals is due to improper mounting!
