Did you get them for fishing or for looks? They look awesome, but I am curious how well they attract fish.

Re: install of underwater lighting

I installed them for fishing and cause i thought they would like cool esp at night while swimming. They draw only 1 watt of power. Plus they were WAY cheaper then most other underwater lighting out there.

Looks Great. I like the fact that you dont have to put another hole in the hull. Should there be concern on the wires getting snagged and pulled out?

Thanks for the link.

Those do look way cool. However, in my neck of the woods if you are caught running at night with these on, you will get a ticket. I wanted to do something similar except using white. The local water patrol said no way.

However, they would look sharp on the corners of my dock at night. I would have to use blue.

No reason I can think of that you can't use them while anchored or at dock. Heck, can't even think of a reason they couldn't used while underway. Particularly if white, it would make you more visible, and the white is where it should be, at the stern. Odd rules, enforced by a few overzealous people I suppose.

Heck I'm thinking about them for underwater viewing of the fishies at my canoe put in. 12V gel cell and a solar panel to run remotely. Wife thinks we should line our trees w/ 'em.Should have the underwater ones together next week. Thanks for making me spend more money:D
Great job on the location of install!!!!

Why did they say "No Way?"

Thanks for the tip! I wanted to do something very similar since I like to swim a lot at night. I'm ordering 2 of those lights tomorrow.
