After being a member of this forum for a little while now I have learned quite a bit of information about boating, maintaining, ect..
Probably the most important thing that I have noticed is that if there is ever a problem with WOT the first thing that is always asked is: What is your RPM's? I am amazed by the number of boats out there that dont have Tach's on them. On my first boat which had a 50hp Force on it,, I put a tach on it. It benefits in many ways; You can know accurate RPM's which can sometimes help you to troubleshoot problems, Secondly: It should keep you from over-reving engine when under full speed and triming. It is an inexpensive insurance device which may save some problems down the road. Bottom Line; Install a Tach!

Here ya are Jason. I got one of these for a friend and they're cool. They're 'bout 40 skins. Call the guy on the fone and tell him what engine it's for and how far it is from engine to where you're gonna mount it.

Tinytach

c/6

Hooty

Catmania, any tach that has 3 posts on the back of it should work for you motor, if it has the Thunderbolt Ignition.

On your motor there is a spot on the switch box just under the black coil lead for a tach. That goes to the sender side of the tach. Then you just have your power, and ground.
