I am doing a contract repair job on a large batch of refrigerators - in home, not the shop.
The work is not very complex, but I need to record the serial number which is unfortunately on the back...bottom left and corner. this means that I have to pull every unit out far enough to get behind and get down to the level of the serial plate and record it....small print, too.

It occurred to me that there might be some affordable "camera on a stick" type of tool that is used for more than arm's length inspection.
It needs a clear dis[play, but other than that does not have much other constraint....

Anyone seen anything that might work?

Princess Auto has one on sale right now think it was around 90 bones......flexable used for plumbing or whatever...inspection camera

Thanks Gents, great info.
I really liked the HF unit...and a great price, but I was in too much of a hurry ~ we don't have HF in this part of Canada.
So I followed the Princess Auto tip and got a pretty good unit at an OK price.
Does the job and should be even better as i get better at using it.

I used my blackberry to see the front of my power steering pulley when I had to repair it earlier this year. Does your phone have a camera? You might try that before buying an expensive inspection camera..

Sorry didn't see you already bought one.. I was pretty proud of thinking to use my blackberry for that purpose.. And it worked great in close quarters..

I know it's late cause you've already bought one. But we bought one for the workshop, $400 worth, detachable screen etc etc. Sits unused in the box because it never works right when asked.
