Inline Filter Required w/H2O Separator?

I read this in a post somewhere here, but to revisit it, is an inside cowling inline fuel filter needed after a water seperator? Is it true that an inline filter after the primer bulb can contribute loss of of bulb firmness? (gotta keep your firmness ya know)<br /><br />Im thinking Id rather run:<br /><br />water separator->primer bulb->VRO

The water seperator is also a filter on most (all?) units. I know Merc doesn't recommend any other filters if you install one of thier filter/seperators. you are correct about the installation between tank and bulb. Might consider a Racor so you can visually check for water.
