What is the normal water pressure?

I have an excellent tell tale stream and the impeller was replaced last week.

The water pressure guage barely moves. It used to 3-4 #s at WOT.

high volume low pressure hvlp just like paint guns. I am not sure of the exact number to but 3-5 is about where I am under normal trim conditions and that is normal.I run the 1500 on a tunnel hull and when I trim her up the pressure gauge climbs to 10 + at that point I have a 8' high rooster tail flying 50-70' behind me,sorry got off track there, not sure why it climbs like that but it does.

Re: Inline 6 1984 90 water pressure

7 psi is about the highest an inline 6 should get. When Mr 88 is getting 10+ what is happening is the the engine is starving for water and the water in the block is boiling and the pockets of steam will rise in pressure. High transom heights and overtrimming without using a low water pickup will cause this and other things
