Information on Johnson Sea Horse?

Hi,<br /><br />I have a Johnson Sea Horse 5.5 model CD-11, serial # 1158298. Does anyone know what year this motor is? Also, it is not getting spark at either plug. The points look good, but both coils are cracked. Could this be the reason? Is there anywhere to get parts for this motor?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />John

jOhn<br />1954 Cracked coils are old and probably no good, like the condensers, maybe plug wires, and sparkplugs. If you plan to use and depend on this engine, replace it all. Probably needs a water pump impeller and lower unit oil change and pressure check a carb rebuild with new float. A basic check of the compression to see if it is worth putting $75 in it. Thanks for the information. I don't use the motor, so I just replaced the coils for now. It started up and seems to run well. <br /><br />John
