Info on Sylvan boats, bowriders????

Hello everyone, I bought this boat last fall, was wondering if anyone was familiar with Sylvan boats?

are they good? do they have a good reputation.. Mine seems to be well made

its a 1998 Sylvan V-180 3.0 merc, alpha 1 drive..

anyone have one of these?? any experiences??

Sylvan/Smokercraft is a local company to me, about 10 minutes away, they have been in buisness since the 50s I believe and are a family owned company.

They build some very good boats, I would put them in the top half of the market for quality.

With boats it depends how they were taken care of, one guy might have one that was abusesed and is a peice of crap and the next guy will have one that was taken care of and has no problems at all, hopefully you got the second kind.

I am not familiar with that particular boat but Sylvans are very good.

hey, thanks for the info,,,

where i come from (toronto) sylvan is not a well known brand,,,, mostly the ones I see are pontoon boats there is no one on this forum with a simliar boat?
