Info on Power Tilt for 1975 Johnson 70HP

Looking for info on what name/model/ID of a power tilt unit for a 1975 Johnson 70HP. The motor does not have power tilt now, but I want to add it. I just need to know what engine/year will fit on it so I can seek one out.<br />Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

this model used a external power trim and tilt, you can use any 3 cyl external omc power trim, i would check into the cmc power trim system, it mounts to the back of the boat and then the motor mounts to it, better system and can be used on any motor, the cmc system is about 650 dollars and easy to install

The 1975 70hp motors did not have trim and tilt. The whole mount asy. would have to be changed to one with trim and tilt. The steering tubes may not be the same for both types so the switch may not be possable. You would have to remove the powerhead to remove the steering tube. Sounds like what "usedboats4u" said would be your best bet unless you want to buy a new model with T&T.
