Re: Info on Diamond Craft

Tashasdaddy:

I have found out that the company was in Beaufort, NC, and is now out of business. I talked to a Marina in Morehead City and was told that the Diamond Craft was a foam/plywood construction, and supposedly not of high quality.

I would like to hear something more positive before I make the plunge.

NADA doesn't list them for pricing estimates. Another bad sign.

Hello everyone, I’m looking at a 91 17’ diamond craft center console. It does have a newer 70 Suzuki 4 stroke on it. The deck seems sturdy. Wondering if it’s true that Is noted in this forum that the hull and/or deck are made of plywood and foam? Of course fiberglass too.
The one I’m looking at appears to be pretty heavy but I haven’t taken a test ride yet.
Also- anyone have any issues with the hulls in their experiences?
Thanks, Guy
