Info needed for West Bend 3.5hp

A friend of mine recently purchased ($20) an old West Bend 3.5 hp Air Cooled outboard. Model# 2352 Serial#1167 . It is missing the carbuerator. any idea where i could find any info on which type of carb it takes? also what fuelil ratio, spark plug etc would be appreciated. I am in Canada and i'm sure the motor would have been purchased in Canada also.

Your motor is a 63. Fuel mix is 16:1.It uses a Tillotson MD 124A or a Walbro LMG124A.The leg is cooled by water circulated by the propeller thrust.Spark plug is originally H8J no doubt superceded with a new number that i'm sure will cross in present day catalogs.Gap is .030 Points set at .020.
Chrysler continued production of this motor until 77 as a 3.5 and 3.6 hp.And used a Tillotson MD124A or a CO1A on the 3.6.Parts from these newer motors may adapt to yours.
