Info needed!! 1982 70hp Mercury

I am still needing info on how to remove lower unit. I removed all the bolts (even 1 under trimtab) and it only came down 1/8 inch. With research I have done I do not think shift linkage in holding me up. Any info will be appreciated. This motor has no corrosion and is like new condition. Could the driveshaft be froze up?

jef, here is a diagram of your motor, there appears to be some things on the shift shaft that need to be taken off, hope this helps man

Thanks Green, I have veiwed that diagram numerous times. I cannot tell by that diagram, I have a manual but makes no mention of shift linkage.
