Hi all,

I need some recommendations please.

So, after I finally raised my outboard on my cat, my speed increased from about 22mph up to 29mph. But my red light indicator lights up at wot. My rpms were anywhere from 6200 up to 6400. My current outboard is propped with a 10.5" x 9P. I do want to get a new SS prop. But I'm undecided with a 10 or 11P. I'm thinking the Saturn Solas prop on this site. I don't know if it's cupped or not. anyone know? Anyways, if anyone has any recommendations on which prop or any other different Stainless steal props at around $200 or less, please let me know.

BTW, my outboard is the Suzuki DF30. Customer spec. indicates optimal WOT rpms at 5500 to 6100.

Here are some pics of my current setup. I have the jack plate and motor bolted on with lock washers and loctite and torqued down to 100lbs / sq. ft.

think it'll hold up?

thanks again guys.

Jeff

Hi Jeff Do not waste your time with a solas, get yourself a decent prop, try the 13p mercury vengeance ..... if I where you I will dump the 4 stroke and get a yamaha or tohatsy 2-stroke 50hp and get that cat going the way it should ....

Hi DeeJaycee,

I actually passed on the Solas and went with a 11p semi cleaver Power Tech. Stainless prop. Thanks.

I do get that alot about my motor, but my 4 stroke is all I have. I got it for such a great deal used, that I couldn't pass up.

thanks,

Jeff

The powertech semi cleaver is not bad, but i will go at least 13p .... I run a 16p cleaver on my son's mod 30hp on his mini-cat .... he gets 50mph out of it ....
