Indmar 5.7 carb timing procedure. ? Base timing?

I have read Timing procedure for the 5.7 Indmar 10 @ 1000 and 30 @ 3000
but do you have to use a shunt tool on a a carbed motor.

This won't be much help, but the timing procedure is related to the ignition system and not the fuel delivery system. Your engine's distributor may need the shunt even though it is carbed and not injected.

Update i did need to plug in shunt tool. it was a delphi dist.
