Welcome to the forum! Where did you caught those at? I caught a little one last Sunday from the White river that looked like a flathead but has the coloration of a sauger. Is that typical for young flatheads?

Seriously, if I caught a fish like that, I'd give him the keys to the boat and I'd swim to shore :)

I caught them around the Martinsville area on the White River. the coloration could be due to the change in water temps or the area he was caught in. I have caught a few that looked like that also.

I love flatties, no blues here. I don't catch that many but after like 8 years, I'm having more success little by little. I broke 50# this year in June. It is the hottest time of year to go here. I noticed the pictures are in Sept? Are those giant rocks in the backgroud? That would seem like some crazy nice structure.
