I have a 97 Honda 40 and when it gets warm the idle increases to about 2,000 rpm. It is not a stuck cable and the linkage is touching the idle adjusting screw?
I found a broken outer cable cover just inside the rubber gromet at the engine. Im hopeful this is the problem? Is the fix you suggested with the tac or the idle problem? I used a foxvalley tac to set the idle @ 975 RPM.
