I'm new to inboards. Can someone tell me what (or where to look) to get the proper torque and nut order is for an inboard prop. My shaft has 2 nuts, a thin one (jam nut?) and thick one (torque nut?) and then a cotter. No castle nut. Which nut goes next to the prop and what torque should be applied to it.

Every other inboard in the marina has the thick nut next to the prop. I recently read this is incorrect and the Michigan Prop catalog seems to concur (i.e. the thin nut goes next to the prop). I couldn't find a torque value anywhere for either nut.

Thanks.
