I am really in need of some guidance and have no where else to turn.
I decided to replace the spark plugs on my 5.7 volvo penta that is in my 2001 four winns horizon 180. I ordered the plugs a year ago and just didnt get around to it. I pull the first wire off and of course the connector breaks off the wire end. I proceed to pull the plug and discovered that I had the wrong plugs. Took em back to the auto store that ordered them for me. Had them order me the correct ones. I brought the broken wire to them. I was informed that it was a special type of wire, marine specific, and that they couldnt get it for me. I hastly ordered a set from amazon, and shortly after realized they (Sierra 18-8802-1) were not correct ! I jumped back on the ol internet and figured that it must be Sierra 18-8836-1, so I ordered them up. Got here earlier last week, but its been snowing here everyday so I wasnt able to get after it til today. And guess what ? Yep these 8836 arent correct either !! The motor is not the original 5.0 that came with the boat, previous owner told me it was a crate motor. How many other possible part numbers could this be ? Does anyone have any idea what part # I should be looking for ? The end that goes on the distributor needs to be larger than either of the 2 that Ive tried, it also connects different than the conventional style. Any help would be rewarded with good karma and greatly appreciated,
thanks yall

Many shops can make you a custom set of wires.
Call around, find a shop that does it, then take them your old wires. They cut wires to the same length, and install new ends like you have. I do a few sets a year for customers, and for my own older vehicles, friends, relatives, or even just guys I met at a car show. It really is not a difficult task, and only takes an hour to do all 8. If you need new plugs and wires, best to pop the distributor cap off as well, you likely will find the cap and rotor and due for replacement.

cap, rotor, and wires from the gm K1500 also will work

I dont, but could get one quick. The end that goes on the distributor has connectors that look female but are actually male. The ends on that side are much larger than normal plug wires. Also the "male" connector protrudes from the end (on the distributor side) and is not hidden in the boot.
I ordered the 8828, but have doubts about that one working as well. Might take a 4th set before I find the right ones ! F !

The flat cap found on Crusaders and some others will accept wires that go into the cap and also the round cap. The next design has them going ON the cap ,the brass end protrudes up on the cap.
The latest flat cap takes a special plug that goes into the cap but looks nothing like a standard boot
