In the area I live in, during the winter months it can get up to 50-60*F during the daytime, but fall to below freezing at night. My boat is currently winterized, with the drive and block drained of water, and the engine lightly fogged with WD-40.

If I were to reinstall the drain plugs on a weekend morning, and take the boat out for a day, could I then drain the block and drive again before it sunset and be somewhat safe from cracking?

It's alot of work for one day on the water, but I'm just curious if other folks do it.
