I just received an impeller from an online parts house as I have no dealers in the area that can get parts for my 83 75hp chrysler(actually we have 1 dealer and seeing how he's merc I think he can but just chooses not to) but the impeller has a center made out of plastic instead of the brass that my old one had. is this what they all are going to? should I be concerned witht his unit breaking? should I return and look for the brass ones(Ithink the one in it was a sierra) thanks

I like the plastic ones better. The ones with the brass are about twice the cost and I have had problems with the glue separatiing from the brass. You should be okay with the plastic one.
