Impeller p/n and last minute advice

I am going to drop the lower unit tonight in preparation for replacing the impeller or entire water pump kit, depending on how things look in there. I have done quite a bit of reading on here and have a repair manual. I am praying that the lower unit isn't rusted to the shaft.<br /><br />Can anyone provide me with the Mercury (Quicksilver) part numbers for just the impeller and also for the water pump kit? The guy I talked to at the local merc dealer didn't sound to sure of himself on the phone.<br /><br />Also, any last minute tips for the pros?<br /><br />How much lube will it take to refill the lower unit?<br /><br />Thanks all.

unless you have done it before on this motor, replace the whole kit. this way you know that YOU have done EVERYTHING you could.<br /><br />tips: if you have a digi camera, take pics everytime you take a peice off, so you have a record of which goes where and when.<br /><br />work slowly and patiently. and DONT LOSE THE IMPELLER KEY !!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />www.seatemp.com or www.mercruiserparts.com will have blown ups parts diagrams and parts numbers for you, not to mention be a ton cheeper than the dealer<br /><br />you could really use a manual. not only does it show in detail how to remove the lower unit and replace the pump, but it also tells you how much lube is in that lower unit
