Im wrecking my valve!!

Anyone have some tips for getting the cap off of the valves to replace the needle o-ring, for the trim? This is off a 1989 125 Force and i've tried the screwdriver with a towel after soaking in hot water and im still marring it up.

Sorry im new to this boat'n life, im talking about the pilot valves. I cant get the caps off no matter what I do, and there starting to get messy. I suppose theres nowhere to get new ones if these get to horrendous?

Alright Alright I got'em off and replaced the rings, kinda messy though. I sanded'em with fine grit sandpaper and put it back together, so far it has completely fixed the bleed down I had.<br />I love this site, I have fixed so many things, its like havin a dad that knows all the answers. <br /><br />THANKS
