I have a 36# Endura used to propel a seaeagle inflatable. Can I increase speed by changing props? What size and type would give me max speed?

Thanks

Hi Okie, It is possible to install a model airplane prop on your motor with a little modification i.e. making the hole bigger so it will fit the motor shaft. These props have a higher pitch and will therefore give you more thrust, however, if you get a prop that is too large in diameter, it will put too much of a load on your motor and fry the electronics, and I don't believe those enduras have an overload breaker so you would be SOL. Get a prop with a smaller diameter than the one that's on it now and try it. The best way to do it is to get an AMP meter from Radio Shack and test the motor while you are trying the new prop. With your particular motor, you won't want to go over 35 to 40 amps. Hope this helps.

BTW you will only get an additional 1-2 mph
