ignition switch?

My motor is a 2005, 60 hp, four stroke Mercury outboard. When I turn on the switch I get the customary beep. Switch in start position and nothing happens, no high pressure pump, nothing. I had the same problem with the original switch and put in this OEM switch thinking that''s the problem. Not.....I have an open circuit some place the kills everything. Where should I start checking?

Start by being sure your in neutral. Move the handle back and forth a tad while holding the key in start position
Check the fuses
Then with a voltmeter see if your getting power from the yellow/red wire to the start relay
