does anyone have the wiring color codes going into an ignition switch for an early 90's javelin f/s?

Usually the ignition is coded by the engine manufacturer. Is yours Volvo, or Mercruiser? Could also be different if an outboard.<br /><br />For basic IO installations, the main battery connection on the switch is either red, red/purple, or orange and either 10 or 8 ga wire.<br />The start wire should be yellow with a red stripe<br />Ignition is purple.

There may not be an exact answer to your question. as Don said there are some general answers...best thing for you to do is tell us what you have and what you are trying to fix....we can point you in the right direction. Get a volt meter or test light, find what wire has 12 volts, then touch it to the other wires, one will cause the motor to crank...that is your start wire, the others that do not have voltage on them are your ignition wires....put them on the second screw of the ignition switch.
