Is there any simple way to check if my ignition switch is failing or is creating a faulty circuit. I read on another post that you can unhook the main harness from the motor while running and experiencing problematic bad idle. If it runs better when unhooked there's a bad ignition switch from what I've read. I have a '98 Yamaha 115 - does unhooking the harness harm anything or will it even keep running with harness unhooked?
