the electronic starter chip located in the distributor...

Have you looked in the phone book for a Merc dealer? They are usually listed.

bass pro shop in grapevine has had most of the Merc parts I've needed.

also, North Texas Marine...

Texas Mastercraft has also been able to get some things for me.
