Ignition relay

My ignition relay keeps burning out. Not sure why? Out of the blue.... new problem any suggestions? - I've tried to replace it several times - engine fires off great then nothing - the relay burns out and sends nothing to the ignition coil or fuel pump. There is a separate line from the ignition relay that runs to the alternator and same wire splits to a module attached to the carb - don't know what this does? Thanks Adam.

It would sure help to know some details on what engine you have. They aren't all the same ya know.

Is this a Turbine engine, or a Briggs, 'n Stratton motor,..??
