Ignition Problem

I am having a problem with my ignition system when my boat gets hot.

We have just finished installing a remanufactured engine, took it out on the Water to sort out timing and what not, ran for 10-15 minutes beautifully had it idling well and running like a champion. Shut it off to look make sure nothing was leaking. When we went to start the boat back up, only the starter would turn and no spark was getting to the plugs. After being towed back in and putting the boat in the trailer, decided to give starting a crack ... damn boat turned right over. Also tried again when I got back, also kicked back over.

Does anyone have any expierence with this or any idea what could be shorting this out?

Re: Ignition Problem

Maybe you haver the timing to far ahead. It will run good like that but when you try to start it when hot it will act like it has a dead battery until it cools off.
