Ignition Module

Can anyone tell me what the Ignition Module does, If it needs to be grounded to the block and where it is supposed to be mounted on an 88 gm 4.3L omc. I am baffled.. cant find anyplace to mount it. Thanks

An 88 OMC does not come with an ignition module. It comes with a points type ignition system.

If you are referring to the ESA, it mounts to a bracket near the shift cable bracket.
