Hello, I have a 1986 mercury 75 4 cylinder. It has been sitting awhile but I replaced the trigger with a CDI trigger one wire was missing insulation. And I replaced the stator with a sierra as it had missing insulation on both yellow wires. Everything was fine as I had check to make sure the timing was correct on the muffs. Upon taking it out for the first time I had very little power. Checked plugs and the top 2 cylinders are not firing. Trigger resistance checks out fine. I swapped trigger wires and the problem stayed the same. I swapped stator wires and the problem stayed. What are my chances the switch box died out randomly?

I think I have narrowed down my problem to the switch box. Mainly posting these specs for others to see and help solve a problem. Will report back when the new switch box arrives.
