ignition getting stuck

hey guys i have a 1997 evinrude 60 degree looper v4 90 hp. recently i have ran into a problem that is new to me. when i turn the key my starter will engage and just stay spinning. i have to literally shut off the battery power from my switch to get it to stop. i recently installed a new starter and new starter solenoid that i ordered from this website, im wondering if this has anything to do with the problem or if my igniton is just sticking. any help would be great guys, thanks.

It may be right in the ignition switch itself sticking...give it a few shots of electrical cleaner in the key hole with the red tube on the nozzle....see if it changes...if it does then give a quick shot of WD-40 in there..to keep it sorta lubed....

I would replace the ignition switch before it damages something else.

okay sounds good, thanks guys . i will lube it up and see if this helps.. if not i will look into getting a new ignition switch
