Hi......the motor has been sitting 2 years. I'm getting ready to rebuild the carbs. Wouldn't it stand to reason that the fuel pump side of the OMS is gummed as well?
Not sure if any of this is necessary, though. After draining the bowls and fuel tank and replacing the water separator, I was able to start the motor in short order. But after 30 secs it wasn't peeing, so I shut it down and will replace the impeller.
My one fear is that if there is some varnish/gunk and a carb runs lean I will burn pistons. That's why I'll go ahead and rebuild the carbs.
But, again, wouldn't the OMS being gummed as well?
