Re: IE 7

NO it is not an advantage! It is a problem. I work with sites with FTP to move files and it can NOT be done on IE7
Using a web browser for FTP will do in a pinch, but there's no substitute for a good FTP client. I use
FileZilla. It works well, is free, and lets you backup your ftp "bookmarks" easily. Sometimes I also use
FireFTP. It's an extension for Mozilla Firefox that's a FTP client that runs in its own tab. It's only a 94k download.
I did install IE7 on my laptop to check it out. Honestly, it seems like IE7 borrowed a lot of its new features from Firefox and other browsers. Tabs, add-ons, extensions have been out long time so this is nothing new. I see a few for IE7, but there are thousands for Firefox. It's a nice looking interface, but I don't like the location of the buttons. I think I'll stick with Firefox and keep IE7 around for sites that only work IE. I wish Microsoft would commit to using open standards instead of using so much proprietary stuff. Contrary to what they want their customers to think, the blue "e" is not the Internet.
