I have an 2004 Mercury 15 hp 2 cycle!
I removed and cleaned the carburetor.
I moved the idle wire back after unclipping
from the fast idle lever and out of the way for carb removal.
When I went to replace it came loose at the end that goes just
under the fly-wheel. I found a spot that seems likely [see photo].
However in order to clip it back [curvy end of wire] into the black lever
I have to pull forward [about 1"] on the linkage to snap it in.
I am pretty sure that will affect the running of the engine.
Does anyone have any info that might help.
