Idle Timing for 1999 135hp

Con someone tell me what the idle timing should be for a 1999 Johnson 135? What should the wot timing be also? I have the sync and linc procedure but my manual does not say what the Idle and wot timings should be. I think the idle should be 8 deg atdc +/-1 deg and the wot 18 deg +/-1 deg is this correct?

It is a johnson 2 stroke not the suzuki 4 stroke if that is what you mean. It is an OMC carborated motor with the 4 black plastic carbs that all OMC johnierudes had from the mid 80's on up.

There is no idle timing, only WOT timing. The idle takes care of itself.

My question was because I am not aware that Johnson or Evinrude 135HP outboard motors were manufactured in 1999.

What is the model number?

ezeke- Sorry didnt mean to confuse you it's actually a 2000 year model purchased in the end of 1999. I did find out as Jim said there is no idle timing adjustment. At idle the timing was 4 deg and at wot is is supposed to be set at 18 deg. We put on a new powerhead from I-boats and i idled very poorly but by doing a sync & linc it now idles good and no more bogging when taking off. Now for some reason it seems like 1 cylinder quits firing off and on. maybe because we just finished putting the 10 hr breakin running 50:1 in the gas and the VRO, so maybe 1 plug is fouled?? very frustrating rebuilt powerhead, cleaned carbs and new filter/separator. I guess we'll put a new set of plugs in now that breakin is over and give her a try and see if that does it.
