Hey Experts-
I have a 220 Mercruiser Stern Drive with a idle pulley gone bad. Sounds like a "Latin ban".
What is the best method step by step for changing out the pulley? Please help me on the releasing or maintaining the belt during this procedure.
Its a 1997 Sea Ray Sundancer and we love the boat and this site. Loads of information.

Re: Idle Pulley

Hey Rod Knocking-
Thanks for the advice on the idle pully gone bad. My 12 year old and I changed the idle pully in about 10 minutes. For a novice not too bad..I really appreciate this site.
I really enjoy the boat ramp saga's and have experienced a few myself. Every weeknd we have a group of spectators that bring coolers and lawn chairs just too watch someone make a fool.
Good luck and I hope to help someone else one day.
