Is there an adjustment on the idle air bleed No. 40 Orifice on my 85 evinrude carbs or do you screw it in until it stops?

Don't leave it loose! It's brass but it'll still mess up a piston!

It's a jet, screw it in until it seats and is snug.

That's what I thought.

I was mistaking the No. 40 for a low idle adjustment needle, the seloc manual can be very confusing.Turns out I have fixed jets all around. 1985 40hp evinrude w/ Type IV carbs.

Have you looked at my thread: 3 carb questions?

Thanks
