Identifying engine

Just added a "new" engine. It is an Evinrude 48 hp, two cyl, which I believe to be a mid 80's year. The ser # (freezeplug) is G 3515479. Cannot find the regular id tag. What I need to know is the oil/ gas ratio (50 to 1?) or is it the old quart to 6 gallons?<br />Thanks, Ben

If it's anything after 1965, use 50:1 Mix. 1 Pint to 6 Gal Gas. Would need model # to find the year.

Engine is an Evinrude 48 SPL (?), model number <br />E48ESLERD. Question iis what year is it?<br />Thanks.<br />Ben
