Identifying a piece of electronic equipment

I purchased a used boat last year wit a number of electronic devices including, VHF radio, depth sounder, and sniffer for the engine compartment. There is a small box down in the cabin with a sliding switch on it labeled, "sea watch". Without an owners manual I don't know what it is or how it is used. At first I assumed it was linked to the sniffer, but now am wondering if it is related to the VHF radio. Anybody familiar with the device and its proper use?

pjboats, if it has the name Shakespeare anywhere on it, that is what it is for they make a VHF full feature radio. Fixed Mount. Weather alert compact in size.
Don't know if this is what you have or not.
You can contact them by e-mail here. Techsupport@shakespeare-ce.com and ask them.

Thanks Spinner_bait Nut.

Unfortunately I can't have a look at it for the next couple of months because it's under wraps for the winter. But I think I recall something like a white antenae cable going into or coming out of the back of the device.
