identify this thing???

Hello all. I just acquired a 1972 glastron project boat that has a 1978 140 hp Johnson on it. I rebuilt the fuel pump, carbs, checked compression and spark, and water pump and have the engine running great now. I couldn't have done all this without the great info from this forum. Thanks!

Now, I'm moving on to the wiring and gauges. There is a something electrical under the dash that at first glance I thought was a horn. Please excuse my ignorance, but I have no idea what this thing is. Can you identify what this is?

looks like the back of a horn to me. real old school that one

I stood on my head and finally got that thing out from under the dash. It is a horn, but unfortunately it doesn't work anymore.
