identify nissan factory prop 12.5 C

I was hoping for some info about factory prop for a 2002 40 tiller nissan. It is a 12.5 C stamped on prop. List same 12.5 C in manual I got with it. So the 12.5 is diameter? the C stamp stands for some kinda pitch perhaps? Thanks in advance for the help!

12.5 would be the pitch...to find diameter measure from center of hub to tip of a blade-then double that measurement

Thanks for the reply. Also I stopped at a local prop shop. They have a tachometer handheld style that you simple point at the motor to get your reading. What a simple way to set up a 40 horse tiller nissan.

The Honda/Yamaha/OMC shop I used to take my motor to has the same hand held tach set up for testing motors. <br /><br />I guess it is cheaper for them, and they don't have to look up the wire colors and have a battery to test with it.<br /><br />Just so you know, your Nissan does have the capability for an electronic tach, as does just about all 2002 motors, even the small ones.

thanks for that info. I'll look into a electronic tack for it. maybe call on tiny tack I've seen in here several times.
